Welcome Seahawks Fans!

Message from Philanthropy Director

A message from Eric McAlinn, Director of Philanthropy:

Full cart means lots of happy kids this holiday season.

Shopping for toys to benefit foster kids in Central Texas.

There are many reasons that I am a fan of the Seattle Seahawks. Perhaps the number one reason is the message they send out as an organization; that by lifting those around you, you also lift yourself up (usually in unexpected and wonderful ways).  It is an impressive resume of service and action that the Seahawks have led (and continue to lead) by example on.  They have realized that they have capacity to affect how people feel and in turn have empowered us as fans to do the same.

As the Director of Philanthropy for our local Seattle Sea Hawkers Booster Club here in Austin Texas, I am proud to represent our team and their values to the community I live in.  Philanthropy/service is a core tenant of our Booster club and is a commitment we take seriously and gladly.

Currently the Booster club is sponsoring a local Austin team for Light the Night for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Light the Night Walk is a fundraising campaign benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their funding for research to find cures for blood cancer.

In addition to fundraising, the Booster club will participate in the walking event at Lake Park at Mueller on October 24th. This walking event is for one hour and presents a great opportunity to visit with Booster club members in an environment not typical to Sunday’s game day environment. All Booster club members are encouraged to join our team and walk together for this wonderful cause.

If you cannot make the walk, you can still join our team or make a donation on our team page. Please encourage your friends and family to do so as well by digitally sharing this link. With your help we will smash our fundraising goal and continue to represent what it means to be a 12.

To learn more about this opportunity for service and others you can go to our philanthropy page or feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

As always, “Go Hawks!”

Your D.O.P.,
Eric McAlinn
