This autumn Seattle Seahawkers will once again be raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through their annual fundraiser “Light the Night”. Besides raising money we will also be walking at the Light the Night Walk, which takes place on November 12th, 2016 6:00 PM at COTA. Our goal is to have a lot of team members join us in Seahawks gear so do put the date on your calendar and join our team.
Last year our Seahawkers team raised over $2,600. That’s a lot of “dough” for a great cause. Your donations during games and online were a large part of our success and we are grateful for your participation.
This year we have set a goal of $3,000 that we hope to smash!

What is LLS?
”The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services” (www.lls.org). LLS research focuses on all types of blood cancers, including Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Despite being one of the most common childhood cancers, research for ALL is still vastly and consistently underfunded.
